As RN’s, having other RN’s help guide our clinical practice is of utmost importance. We focus on the role nurses have in today’s healthcare world and how we can help. We take the money organizations are poorly spending on hiring and retention and put that extra money in the pockets of the nurses. We want to be the VOICE of the nursing industry. We have created an entity that RN’s can have a piece of through our profit distribution plan. We want to give RN’s better bargaining power and benefits. Our RN’s receive all of the advantages of being employed by a RN-led private group; but get to work in an exciting hospital or ASC setting.
What benefits are included?
CME, 401k, medical malpractice coverage, leadership and clinical training, 100% paid parental leave, student loan refinancing, comprehensive medical, dental, vision and Rx coverage.
What type of RN's do we hire?
Our RN’s are an eclectic mix of experienced professionals, recent graduates, industry leaders, nurse managers, nurse luminaries, entrepreneurial minded nurses and nurses with strong business IQ’s. Additionally many of these nurses have backgrounds in telemetry, PACU, med-surg, pre and post op, OR, management and APRN's.
Are these RN engagements permanent or temporary positions?
We only hire and offer permanent employment to all prospective RN employees who are joining our group
What if one engagement ends and the next engagement starts a week later, do I get paid?
Yes, you are a permanent employee. If there are any gaps between engagements, you would still get paid while you are on our "bench"
What does being on the "bench" mean?
Being on our "bench" means you have finished a RN engagement and we are in the process of starting your next engagement. Typically this may only be 1-2 days, or perhaps up to a week
Do I need to travel for any of these RN engagements?
No, all employees have the option to work close to home and not travel. If you want to travel, you can, but that is your decision
How long are the RN engagements with your clients?
Engagements can be anywhere from 6-12 months, while others can be from 1-2 years
Am I an actual equity owner of the company?
We truly believe ownership matters. We believe that a culture of RN ownership leads to better patient care. Our form of ownership is represented through our profit distribution plan.
What portion of the profit distribution plan do I receive?
Each year the distribution amount changes based on company revenues. More revenues, equate to a higher payout from the profit distribution plan
Why would I want to work for USRN Partners vs. my current employer?
RN's are currently being asked to do more than what they can give. They are at the mercy of the organization they work for who are giving RN's more responsibilities and leaning on RN's more than ever; with no substantial increase in pay or notoriatry. RN's are now in the driver's seat and it's time for them to be treated like professionals. At USRN Partners, we recognize that RN's need to command more respect and need to be earning higher wages to match the shift in nursing power and additional responsibilities.
What common values do you see in RN's that join the USRN Partners team?
RN's who value being selfless, with an owner's mind, who loves teamwork and providing patient care. That is usually a recipe for success. As a company, we value hard work and we also value input. We are always encouraging our nurses to provide feedback, both good and bad. We also take great pride in creating a group of people who have each other's back and love the camaraderie of the team. Our ownership mentality helps to solidify these values.
Are there opportunities for growth within the organization?
Absolutely yes. We have clinical leadership teams and RN's are in most of the intrical positions of the company. This includes managing other nurses, and also stepping out of the hospital or ASC environment and solely moving into an administrative capacity and running entire regions.
Can I move locations over time?
Because we work in over 23 states, moving is easy. RN's can move from one site to another and still be part of the same organization.
Why do we offer such a generous employment package?
We want our RN group to be a disruptive innovation. We plan to undercut an existing way of doing business that hasn't changed in the last 50 years. We want to take the money organizations are poorly spending on hiring and retention and put that extra money in the pockets of the nurses. We want all of our people to not just be successful for the next 10-20 years, but for the rest of their lives.
